Cityhope Team Culture

    WE GET TO DO THIS!

To be on team here at Cityhope is to come alongside other incredible people and together build God's church by passionately and consistently serving Him and the people of our community - what a privilege that is!

    You first!

Why you are serving is more important than what you are doing - we need to be connected to Jesus and our relationship with Him. Our heart is to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus whilst serving on our team.

If you ever have any questions around anything related to being on team or your personal walk with Jesus, please reach out to your Campus Leaders, Department Leader or Ministry Leaders, we would LOVE to connect with you.

    Cultural Pillars 🏗

We know that culture either happens by default or by design so our goal is to intentionally and consistently create the culture we want to see. The three pillars below around our vision, focuses and values here at Cityhope are not just what we do, they are who we are. By being on team, you are making the commitment to help set these as our culture. 🙌🏼

    Our Vision

To draw people into an ever increasing relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

    Our Focuses

ChurchWe see church as a place to call home

CommunityWe see the needs of those in our community as a priority

KingdomWe embrace a heart for the bigger picture of what God is doing, and wherever possible we will invest into helping the wider body of Christ.

    Our Values

EvangelismWe are committed to telling the world about Jesus. This is an integral part of the thinking, decisions and actions taken across all levels of our Church.

GenerosityWe are committed to having a posture of exceptional generosity in everything we do, and will actively seek opportunities to be generous in our local community and abroad.

HonourWe will always create environments where people are honoured for who they are and what they do.

CommunityWe will seek to ‘wash the feet’ of our community for no other reason than to love and serve it unconditionally.

Next GenerationWe have a responsibility to equip the next generation and ensure they have opportunities to lead and be coached, mentored, and resourced to develop the gifts and talents God has given them.

    Processes + Practicalities ☑️

    Communication

Your ministry leader will let you know the preferred way of communication for you team, however as a general guide, most teams use:

    • Planning Centre for rostering and service planning - see the section on this below

    • This Cityhope Teams website - on here you will find specifics on your role and links to any reports your role may require you to complete.

    • Facebook Messenger Groups

    • and of course, face to face, text, emails and phone calls!

    Planning Centre

We use online rostering system called Planning Centre Online - through planning centre you:

    • will receive requests to be on team for particular services

    • can respond to these requests, and

    • can see the runsheet, media and team for the service.

Every team in the life of Cityhope Church use this platform and have some shared guidelines around that, specifically:

    • Providing block out dates for weekends when requested by your ministry leader. This will always be before the quarterly roster is sent out

    • Accepting rostered dates and responding to requests

    • Ensuring we keep our commitments when rostered

    • If you are unavailable for a weekend you have been rostered on for, finding your own replacement by seeking to swap with another team member, well in advance of services and communicating with your team or ministry leader regarding the change. Only if you cannot connect with someone else then please connect with your leader to make alternative arrangements
