PEOPLE TEAM: FROM CARPARK TO CONNECT GROUP
Thank you for praying with, and ministering to our people post-service. We pray that God uses you powerfully to show his love and power to others.
PRE SERVICE
Attend and bring faith to the 8:20am prayer meeting in the auditorium
Make yourself known to the People Team Leader and the Connect Team
Collect your lanyard
Check there are bibles and anointing oil available in the Green room, ready to move post-service
Be present in the foyer connecting with people
AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SERVICE
Move the bibles and anointing oil to the front of the auditorium, and take position during the close of the service. We want to be in position before anyone arrives for ministry!
Ideal is to minister in teams of 2 for accountability
PRAYING WITH SOMEONE
Ensure your ministry is always in line with Cityhope's theological beliefs and honours our values and love for people. Always minister with grace
Communicate any pastoral care concerns to the People Team Leader
Remember we are there to pray, not to give advice.
SALVATIONS
Connect with those who have given their lives to Jesus, by:
Asking if they made a decision for the first time today?
Offering them a bible
Asking them to fill in the YES TO JESUS card so the Citylife team can follow them up during the week
Praying with them
Encouraging them to register for Alpha at the Connection Hub in the foyer
WHAT DOES FINISHED LOOK LIKE? (Honouring Excellence)
Every person has been prayed for, and given their next step
Anointing oil and bibles are returned to the green room
You have communicated with the team leader and passed on any feedback
You have filled in the Congregation Care form, if required.
One of the most powerful things we can do as believers is pray for one another. Through the Ministry team, you have the opportunity to connect with and pray for people in our church.
To help you minister to others, we’ve compiled prayer prompts and scriptures that address specific issues people may be facing and emotions they may be feeling. These resources are meant to empower you to engage in a quality prayer conversation that includes a warm and empathetic introduction, an authentic and compassionate prayer, and helpful next-step suggestions.

You may find the below cleansing prayer useful, particularly after engaging in Spiritual Warfare:
Lord, set me free, by your Spirit from anything emotional or spiritual that transferred to me during this ministry. I bind any evil spirits and demand them to go in the name of Jesus Christ and by His power and His authority, I cancel out any spiritual attack that is being raised up against me and my family in the name of Jesus.
Lord cleanse me and restore me. Fill me with your Spirit and renew me where I may have been depleted through this ministry.
Seal that which has been accomplished in ________'s life and protect him/her from the enemy. I give the honour, glory and praise to You.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
