    PEOPLE TEAM: FROM CARPARK TO CONNECT GROUP

    Connect Team Role

    Thank you for connecting with our people pre- and post-service. We pray that God uses you powerfully to help people feel welcomed and identify their next step.


    PRE SERVICE

    • Arrive in time for the 7:45am People Team Gathering

    • Collect your lanyard

    • Ensure the area is clean and communicates excellence

    • Attend and bring faith to the 8:20am prayer meeting in the auditorium

    • Be ready at the Connect Area at 8:30am and remain there until 9am.

    AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SERVICE

    • Move to the Connect Hub as the service is ending so you are ready when people leave the auditorium

    CONNECTING WITH SOMEONE

    • Great to think of this as Before | During | After

    • Before:

      • Always introduce yourself and ask their name also

      • Try to connect with them by asking them their story, what brought them to church, what they’re looking for etc, what is their greatest need?

    • During:

      • Help them take the step they’re looking to take

      • As much as possible, try to get their details so the Citylife team can follow them up during the week

    • After:

      • Ensure everyone knows what to expect as follow up

      • Consider if there's another step they could take - e.g. if they come to join team, could they also join a group? If they are a new person, could they also register for Pathway?

      • Try to connect everyone to someone else in the foyer to increase the number of connections they have at church

    WHAT DOES FINISHED LOOK LIKE? (Honouring Excellence)

    • Every person has been connected with and given their next step

    • The area is reset and left tidy

    • You have communicated with the team leader and passed on any feedback or important information

    Event or Alpha Registrations
    • Encourage them in their decision

    • For Alpha: Assist them to fill in the 'Alpha' form via Quick Links

    • For Events: Assist them to fill in the relevant form via Quick Links

    Add to Database or Change Contact Details
    • Encourage them in their decision

    • To add someone to our database: Help them to fill in the "I'm New Form" via Quick Links, and help them to find their next step

    • To update someone's details in our database: Help them to fill in the "Update Details" form via Quick Links
