Hi Team,
Thank you to everyone for playing your part in our weekend services, this past few months we are consistently seeing new people come into the life of Cityhope across our Ripley and Springfield locations and people encountering God and having a moment in our physical services. Then the stories of the impact of our Online Campus is powerful, where we keep hearing stories of people watching Hope at Home and calling Cityhope their church through this platform.
If you prefer to listen to this update click here.
Below are a few important changes for everyone to be aware of moving forward from this Sunday.
As many of you are aware at both campuses we have been trialling a few different methods to ease the noise from our buildings during out early Sunday rehearsals for our neighbours at both locations. Some of these have been working effectively, and some haven’t.
From this Sunday we will be trialling a new structure for the Pre-service and Rehearsal time slot as outlined below. Due to this rundown please make sure you are diligent & quick with setup for your area of responsibility.
6.30am – Producer Arrival
6.45am – Ripley Production Team arrive and setup | Springfield ALL Team arrive and setup.
7.15am – Ripley Band and Singers arrive and setup
7.30am – Creatives Line Check & In Ears Check (No Front of House Speaker or Subs, No Drum Mutes)
7.45am – Creatives Team Pre-Brief
8.00am – Creatives Team Full Rehearsal at Full Service Volume
8.30am – All In Prayer Meeting (Creatives, Guest Services, City Kids, Milk & Honey)
8.35am – Production & Speaker Check in Auditorium (other teams to go to positions)
8.55am – Doors Open (Ripley)
9.03am – Doors Open (Springfield)
As I said we are trialling until we find out what the new normal is. Let’s keep a great spirit during this season while we work out what this is – and as always we are open to feedback to make this process better.
In alignment with the above change that we are having to re-evaluate due to the new houses being built ‘over the fence’
One of these is in relation to our cars parking on the grassy area on the stair side down the back.
As a result, from this Sunday we are asking all team members to park on the other side of the building (in the large, flat open oval area).
Team members will still be able to enter the building through the blue door at the top of the stairs by walking around the back of the building. Similarly with anyone who enters through the lower door.
Coming into December there are a few changes around our services at Ripley & Springfield.
Due to some damage to the hall floor at Springfield that is getting replaced we will be doing a few different services for Springfield Campus.
6th December – Ripley as normal & Springfield as normal (last gathering in the Springfield Hall for 2020 & Anointing Service)
13th December – Both Campuses joined at Ripley for Christmas Presentation | Social Gathering for Springfield on Sunday AM (No service in Hall)
20th December – Ripley as normal (Anointing Service) | Springfield End of Year Celebration in Springfield Area (AM)
27th December – No Physical Services at Ripley or Springfield (Hope at Home Online Campus Services ONLY)
3rd January – Normal services at all campuses.
Thanks so much team for your continued lean in during this season with all that is happening and I am so looking forward to finishing the year strong so we can start January full of vision and passion for seeing people encountering Jesus.
Kind regards,
Ps Al Hills
