First time on Cityhope Creatives Team.
Thanks for saying yes to serving and making a difference.
Thanks for saying yes to serving and making a difference.
As a part of our team there are many different roles and areas that make up what we do.
These are the following:
• Singers
• Musicians
• Production Team
• Social Media
• Connections Hosts
If you are on this page then you would have completed the 'Join a team' process which included your blue card application and safer churches training videos.
From that point the following is a number of things you will need to know before you serve on your first weekend.
Send Ps Al Hills or Kim Hills your email address and they will set up a Planning Centre account for you. We use Planning Centre for all serving scheduling.
Al - alastair.hills@cityhope.com.au
Kim - kimberley.hills@cityhope.com.au
This can be accessed via the app (services on app store) or website planningcenteronline.com
When you are rostered on to serve you will recieve an email from Planning Center with the option to Accept or Decline.
If you decline a service you are expected to find yourself a fill in for that role.
If there are specific dates that you cannot serve in advance then please use the function 'Add Blockout' to add in the weekends that you are unavailable.
Our current song list is up to date on our Spotify Playlist - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6AMYRAlz8zmhYM6MLk6MHc
Lyrics & Sheet music are listed on Planning center under Songs - with the current song list having an * in front of the song title so they appear at the top of the list.
These are also connected to the song title when they are on the specific weekends runsheet. Click on the title and it will open up the files available.
Each role is specific in it's own way and therefore has it's own page that has information for each area - this is accessible via the menu
For our creatives team we don't have any midweek rehearsals as we expect our team to come prepared knowing their songs, parts & roles. Due to this we spend time on a Sunday pre-service rehearsing the set for that day.
All our times that you need to arrive by on a Sunday are at the top of the 'Order of Service/Plan/Runsheet'
At Ripley Campus our parking for team is on the grassed area to the side of the building.
You can enter the building from the stairwell where the kids/staff parking is.
The main theme with our dress standard is 'Excellence' - We want to dress excellently to show respect for those around us, and honour to God for the opportunity and privilege we have to lead others in worship.
We serve to point people to God. One way that we can do that is by dressing appropriately for our role that day. For those on-platform, what you wear should not distract people, draw attention to yourself, or be inappropriate. And for those off-platform (production), what you wear should be as distraction-free as possible, so that you can operate quietly and assist in pointing people's attention to God.
This is not a 'mould' to try and squeeze all the personality out of you. These are just guidelines we follow so that we can all work together in our goal of leading people closer to Jesus.
Updates:
T-Shirts are now allowed to be worn at our Sunday services (in the past we have asked our team to wear collars.) but in saying this - make sure there is excellence in this - make sure it is ironed and clean - and avoid large slogans/words/images that could be distracting or not positive.
Please don't wear hats on the platform, this is because of our lighting and shadows this casts onto your face.
Make sure it passes the Jump test. Can I jump, lift my hands, get passionate about what I'm wearing? When I lift my hands, does my shirt still cover my stomach? When I jump, do my pants fall down? Make sure what you are wearing sets you up for a win when you are serving.
Female Worship Leaders in the past have been asked to wear heels, this is now not a requirement and other footwear is completely fine to wear.
Avoid sandals/thongs/open-toe shoes and aim for fully enclosed shoes or boots.
No Shorts.
For the production team, it is dark clothing, closed in shoes, no shorts.
To help you with standard and ideas we have compiled two pinterest boards to help guide you.
