People Team

    FROM CARPARK TO CONNECT GROUP

    WELCOME!

OUR PEOPLE TEAM EMBODIES OUR VALUE AS A CHURCH THAT "PEOPLE ARE OUR PRIORITY"

Past experience shows that the faster we can help someone take a step toward getting connected, the more likely they are to plant themselves in our church. That's why we're asking that every person on this team has a commitment to helping all people, but particularly new people, take one step on their journey from driving into our carpark to getting connected into a connect group.

    PEOPLE TEAM ROLES

We are one team with four roles. Each Sunday before prayer meeting, we will gather as a full team to pray, bring clarity to everyone's roles and the pathways people can take, and build faith for what God is going to do!

The four roles on this team are as follows:

    1. Carpark Team

Our carpark team are our first impressions team - warmly greeting every person who drives into our church, serving them by helping them easily find a park, and creating conversation as people walk past on their way into the building.

    2. Host Team

Our host team ensures that every person who walks through the church doors has a personal connection. For many, this will be a welcome back to church, however, for anyone who is new to church, this is an opportunity to connect them with our connect team! Our heart is that this team would grow to be able to have hosts at our Foyer entrance doors, our auditorium entrance doors, and ushers helping people find seats at the start of the service. Hosting continues after the service also! That is an opportunity to connect with people again.

    3. Ministry Team

This team has a heart to minister to people. The ministry team will be empowered to pray with people during ministry moments in service, will be available after the service for prayer, and will connect with those who made a decision to give their lives to Jesus. To reflect the priority of this decision, our process will change so that they will come to the ministry team at the front at the end of the service, receive a bible and prayer, and give their details for Citylife follow-up.

    4. Connect Team

Our connect team are a group of people who have a heart to hear someone's journey and help them find and take their next step. Whether that be:

      • A new person looking for a church home

      • A person wanting to join a group

      • A person wanting to join team

      • A person wanting to partner financially with the church

Stationed in a new area in the foyer, this team will be trained to have these conversations, help people fill in the required form, and connect them to relevant ministry or group leaders. From here, our Citylife team will follow them up during the week and journey their step with them.

    Excellence in our Dress Standard

The main theme with our dress standard is 'Excellence' - We want to dress excellently to show respect for those around us, and honour to God for the opportunity and privilege to welcome others into His house.

A few tips on what this looks like:

    • Please make sure clothes are ironed and clean

    • Avoid large slogans/words/images that could be negative or offensive

    • Please wear clothes that are appropriately modest - avoid crop tops, see-through tops, very short skirts/dresses etc.

    • Avoid thongs

Please DO dress appropriately for your role, and let your own personality shine through!
