Service Leader

    The Service Leader is responsible for the delivery of the service, spiritually and practically. They bring all ministries inside the auditorium together to create a unified experience.


    They report directly to the Senior Pastor, with the:

    • Producer (plus Worship Leader and MD as applicable)

    • Connection Hosts,

    • Prayer Meeting Host, and

    • Preacher (if not Senior Pastor) reporting directly to them.

    PRE-SERVICE:

    • Attend the creatives briefing at 6:55 am, facilitating a worship and prayer moment for the team

    • Be present in the auditorium for rehearsal, liaising with the producer as required

    • Facilitate the 8:10 am production meeting, ensuring everyone is aware of the flow of the service, transitions are discussed, additional elements are discussed, and any post-service events are planned. Attending that meeting is:

      • Senior Pastor

      • Producer

      • Worship Leader

      • MD

      • All Speakers

      • Service Hand, and

      • Service Manager


    PRAYER MEETING:

    • Oversee prayer meeting in terms of speaker, band input and ensuring timings are adhered to.


    DURING THE SERVICE:

    • Measure the spiritual temperature of the service, and discern moments where Holy Spirit is moving in order to lean into them

    • Keep an eye on timings of the service, and communicate to others as required

    • Ensure ministry team are where they need to be, calling in extras as required in altar moments


    PRACTICAL CHECKLIST TO LOOK OVER + KEEP AN EYE ON:

    • Auditorium temperature

    • Stage cleanliness from Creatives team post-rehearsal

    • Auditorium cleanliness

    • Seating and curtain layout

    • Reserved Signs for Pastoral and Key Team

    • Lighting during service

    • Bollards during service
